    Established in 1967Lake Sybelia Elementary School has proudly served the Maitland community for decades. As a cornerstone of the area, the school is home to the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Hearing Impaired Program, providing specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from age 3 through 5th grade.

    This exceptional program, combined with the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of the student body, creates a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. Lake Sybelia is a place where students from all backgrounds come together to learn, grow, and thrive.

    The school’s dedicated and passionate staff are known for their creativity, hard work, and deep commitment to children. Their love for teaching is evident in every classroom and interaction. Parents are welcomed as valued partners in the educational process, with many volunteering their time to support teachers and enhance student learning.
