Principal’s Message
Good Day Dolphin Families,
I would like to thank you for the warm welcome to the Lake Sybelia Elementary School community. My time thus far has been wonderful. I am excited to step into the role of principal here at Lake Sybelia and continue to carry the torch in pursuit of student excellence. I also want to take this moment to thank my predecessor, principal John Dobbs, for all the hard work he has done in support of the Lake Sybelia community, and the support he has provided to me in making this a smooth transition. We wish him all the best in his next chapter.
Here in Orange County Public Schools, we have a vision and a mission. Our vision: Every student graduates prepared and inspired for a thriving future. Our mission: Together with our families and the community, we empower students with a superior academic experience, essential life skills, and boundless opportunities. There are so very many elements that go into supporting this vision.
As principal, my driving force in supporting our mission is:
The last bullet is directly tied to mission, families and community. We are a partnership and when we work together towards that common goal of student success, we are unstoppable. I encourage you to get involved with the school, at any level. Consider getting in touch with our amazing PTA here at Lake Sybelia. There are several ways you can support that do not necessarily monopolize your time, as we know time is so very precious and limited. See the information below and ask any questions.
I am looking forward to working with all stakeholders and a great year.
Kind Regards,
Robert L. Walker, principal
